Tumorboard

A tumor board is a structured forum where a multidisciplinary team of specialists convenes to discuss complex oncologic cases.

Our monthly Tumor Boards take place in collaboration with the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS), a global organization dedicated to improving the
care of women with gynecologic cancers globally.

The PARSGO-IGCS Echo meetings occur online every third Friday of the month on an online platform, allowing all PARSGO members to attend free of charge. During these sessions, members are encouraged to present their cases, and our multidisciplinary and international team—including gynecologic oncologists,
radiologists, pathologists, surgeons, and patient advocates—provides evidence- based recommendations for diagnostic and treatment options tailored to each case.
The importance of discussing cases in an online and interdisciplinary format cannot be overstated. These discussions facilitate knowledge exchange and enable
healthcare professionals from various fields to share their insights and best practices, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. By incorporating the perspectives of different specialists and patient advocates, we enhance the quality of care provided to patients, ultimately leading to improved treatment outcomes, which we follow up on.

Through these tumor boards, we foster a collaborative environment that not only strengthens our network but also drives innovation in gynecologic oncology, allowing us to address the specific challenges faced by women in our regions effectively.
